Description

Lead large, complex software programs for international clients from initiation through full delivery with end-to-end accountability for outcomes. Define and own program governance (decision-making, escalation, reporting), oversee multi-stream delivery across internal teams and external partners, and ensure milestones are achieved within agreed timelines, scope, and budget. Drive program-level risk identification and mitigation, implement structured change management with requirements-to-contract traceability, and mentor Delivery Managers.

Responsibilities

• Establish program governance: decision structures, escalation paths, reporting frameworks

• Oversee multi-stream delivery and ensure milestones are achieved within timeline, scope, and budget

• Manage dependencies and alignment across internal teams and external partners

• Identify program risks early, define mitigation strategies, and drive corrective actions

• Implement structured change management with traceability between requirements, scope, budget, and contractual agreements

• Build trust-based relationships with clients, sponsors, and key internal stakeholders

• Mentor and support Delivery Managers; align teams on program goals, delivery standards, and ways of working

• Build and lead effective program teams with transparency, accountability, and predictable delivery

Requirements

• Proven experience leading large-scale IT/software programs (multi-year, multi-million EUR budgets) with full budget and delivery accountability

• Experience managing distributed, multinational teams and collaborating with external vendors/partners

• Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills in complex stakeholder environments

• High ownership and decisiveness; ability to operate independently and make informed trade-off decisions

• Pragmatic, outcome-focused problem-solving mindset

• Practical knowledge of program and delivery frameworks (e.g., PMP, SAFe); certifications are a plus

• Solid understanding of SDLC and modern software engineering practices

• Fluency in spoken and written English

• Work from the European Union region with a valid work permit
