Description

You will plan, steer, and deliver complex IT projects from initiation through successful completion, ensuring structured implementation from testing to go-live and hypercare handover. You will build and lead project organizations in a matrix setup, coordinating partial project leads, internal teams, and external partners. You will manage scope, change, risks, dependencies, and escalations while reporting to management and project bodies using PMI methods and applying agile approaches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan, manage, and execute complex IT projects from initiation to closure

• Set up and run appropriate project organizations, including leading and coordinating subproject leads, project teams, service providers, and implementation partners in a matrix organization

• Create and maintain integrated project plans; manage deadlines, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies, and quality

• Ensure structured delivery including testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and handover to operations

• Manage scope, change, risk, and escalation management and drive necessary decisions

• Provide audience-appropriate reporting and stakeholder management for management, committees, business units, and international participants

• Apply PMI-based classic project management and use agile methods as appropriate

• Support methodological development of project teams and ensure consistent project, quality, and reporting standards

Requirements

• Completed degree in (business) informatics, business administration, engineering, or comparable qualification

• Solid experience leading complex IT projects/programs, ideally in international industrial companies

• In-depth knowledge of classical PMI project management methods; PMA or PMP certification preferred

• Experience with hybrid and agile approaches (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is advantageous

• Ideally experience in SAP S/4HANA projects, SAP rollouts, or transformation initiatives

• Experience planning and controlling resources, budgets, risks, quality, and stakeholders

• Fluent German and English plus willingness to travel internationally as needed
