Description

Lead a full platform migration from LiveChat to Amazon Connect Chat. Work includes configuring Amazon Connect (about 30 queues and 110 users), building a custom agent workspace using the Amazon Connect Streams API, and integrating with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams (bidirectional presence sync via the MS Graph API), and Entra ID for SSO. You will also implement Lambda functions for Salesforce transcript push, DynamoDB-backed lookups, and agent availability checks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test Amazon Connect contact flows, queue configurations, and routing profiles according to the Solution Architect’s architecture
• Implement and unit-test Lambda functions for Salesforce transcript push, DynamoDB lookups, and agent-availability checks
• Build a custom Amazon Connect Streams API agent workspace (chat handling, case history display, and iFrame integration of the Salesforce URL)
• Implement a Microsoft Teams presence-sync intermediary component using the MS Graph API
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code pipelines for Amazon Connect resources using CloudFormation/CDK where possible; document manual steps where not
• Collaborate with Salesforce developers on Salesforce-side objects, REST API contracts, and validation
• Support QA with testable, documented components; participate in SIT and defect resolution
• Contribute to knowledge-transfer documentation so the client’s team can operate and extend the platform post-go-live

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Amazon Connect experience (contact flows, queues, routing profiles, Connect APIs/SDKs), including the ability to build and debug contact flows independently
• Solid AWS Lambda experience, including S3 trigger patterns, DynamoDB reads/writes, and REST API calls from Lambda
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js or Python for Lambda development
• Familiarity with the Amazon Connect Streams API (or ability to ramp up quickly)
• Experience integrating and working with REST APIs/REST endpoints such as Salesforce and MS Graph
• Experience working in a structured delivery team with a shared backlog, code reviews, and fixed deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently once requirements are clear
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
