Description

Lead a full platform migration from LiveChat to Amazon Connect Chat for a global life-sciences client. Work includes Amazon Connect setup for ~30 queues and ~110 users, building a custom agent workspace on the Amazon Connect Streams API, integrating Salesforce, syncing Microsoft Teams presence via Microsoft Graph, and implementing SSO via Entra ID. Runtime lookups are backed by DynamoDB.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test Amazon Connect contact flows, queue configurations, and routing profiles per the Solution Architect’s architecture
• Implement and unit-test Lambda functions for Salesforce transcript push, DynamoDB lookups, and agent-availability checks
• Build the custom Amazon Connect Streams API agent workspace (chat handling, case history display, and iFrame integration of the Salesforce URL)
• Implement the Microsoft Teams presence-sync intermediary component using the Microsoft Graph API
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code pipelines for Amazon Connect resources using CloudFormation/CDK where possible (and document manual steps where not)
• Collaborate with the Salesforce Developer on Salesforce-side objects, REST API contracts, and validation
• Support QA with testable, documented components and participate in SIT and defect resolution
• Contribute to knowledge-transfer documentation for post go-live operations and extension

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Amazon Connect experience, including contact flows, queues, routing profiles, and Connect APIs/SDKs
• Strong ability to build and debug contact flows independently
• Solid AWS Lambda experience: S3 trigger patterns, DynamoDB reads/writes, and REST API calls from Lambda
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js or Python for Lambda development
• Familiarity with the Amazon Connect Streams API (or ability to ramp up quickly)
• Experience integrating and working with REST APIs and endpoints such as Salesforce and Microsoft Graph
• Experience in a structured delivery team with shared backlog, code reviews, and fixed deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and independent work once requirements are clear
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
