Description

Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of backend applications supporting high-volume travel and transactional operations. You will build RESTful APIs and gRPC services, deploy on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Kubernetes, and support CI/CD and production release cycles. You will collaborate with QA, SRE, and Product, troubleshoot issues using logs/metrics/monitoring, and mentor developers through code reviews and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications in Java and Spring Boot

• Build and support RESTful APIs and gRPC services

• Develop and deploy solutions on GCP and Kubernetes

• Collaborate with QA, SRE, and Product teams

• Participate in CI/CD processes, deployments, and production support

• Support release cycles including smoke testing and manual validation

• Troubleshoot issues using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools

• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot

• Experience building microservices, REST APIs, and gRPC services

• Hands-on experience with GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Knowledge of GitHub and either Jenkins or GitHub Actions

• Familiarity with Prometheus and Stackdriver/Cloud Monitoring

• Basic scripting skills in Python or Bash

• Experience with WireMock and performance testing

• Legal work permit in Poland
