Description

You will combine hands-on backend development with technical leadership, building and operating scalable services that support product discovery and filtering. You will influence technical decisions and take ownership across the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain microservices and event-driven solutions
• Work with large volumes of product data from multiple sources
• Design and develop REST APIs
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
• Own the delivery lifecycle: development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support
• Drive technical decisions and participate in architecture discussions
• Conduct code reviews and support other developers
• Improve reliability, maintainability, and performance of existing services
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other engineering teams

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Solid experience with microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture
• Practical knowledge of Apache Kafka, Redpanda, or similar messaging technologies
• Experience designing and working with REST APIs
• Good experience with AWS
• Experience with MongoDB
• Knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD practices
• Experience with Docker
• Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably Terraform or AWS CDK
• Ability to combine technical leadership with hands-on development
• Strong ownership, communication, and collaboration skills
