Description

You will combine hands-on Product Ownership with responsibility for delivering IT projects within agreed scope, budget, and timeline. The role includes leading delivery across the SDLC, facilitating product discovery workshops (primarily in German), and managing the product backlog from epics to user stories with acceptance criteria. You will also support pre-sales by gathering and analyzing requirements and helping prepare proposals and Statements of Work.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for project delivery across the full SDLC: concept/implementation, testing, and deployment

• Plan and manage scope, timeline, and budget (“iron triangle”)

• Conduct business needs analysis and facilitate client workshops (including Product Discovery)

• Create and manage the product backlog (epics → user stories) and define acceptance criteria

• Collaborate with development teams: clarify requirements during sprints and validate delivered solutions

• Prepare documentation such as solution concepts, Statements of Work, and functional specifications

• Monitor progress and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes

• Report on project status, progress, and results to business stakeholders

• Support pre-sales: requirements gathering, defining solution approach and project scope, preparing offers and SOWs

• Propose improvements and optimizations, including using AI technologies

Requirements

• Near-native German (C1/C2), English (B2/C1), and Polish (B1+)

• 5+ years of experience in IT projects as Product Owner, Project Manager, or Business Analyst, including delivery and budget responsibility

• IT knowledge backed by education or hands-on project experience

• Ability to understand technical aspects well enough to lead projects and co-create solution concepts with technical teams

• Practical experience with product backlogs, user stories, epics, and functional/non-functional requirements

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the SDLC

• Strong analytical skills for creating solution concepts (e.g., process diagrams and mock-ups)

• Experience or strong interest in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial projects

• Excellent communication and organizational skills and a customer-oriented mindset

• Valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally

• Interest in AI technologies and experience using AI tools day-to-day

• Pre-sales/sales process experience (requirements gathering, solution definition, proposal/SOW preparation) is an asset
