Description

Own and manage a portfolio of business-critical IT products for a German banking client, including data, reporting, and financial solutions. You will handle technical governance and operational oversight across the product lifecycle while translating business needs into priorities and requirements. Daily collaboration with German-speaking stakeholders (business and technical) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own IT products end-to-end: implementation, operation, and retirement

• Drive lifecycle activities: upgrades, replacements, decommissioning, EoM/EoL management

• Maintain accurate product documentation and governance standards; ensure operational readiness

• Support ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Capacity Management)

• Collaborate with security, risk, compliance, procurement, and other stakeholders

• Ensure patching, maintenance, backup/recovery, and continuity measures

• Translate business needs into product requirements and align priorities

• Manage vendors, licensing, contracts, and third-party dependencies

• Coordinate cross-product impacts and dependencies with other product owners/teams

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in product ownership/management or IT product responsibility roles

• Fluent German (minimum B2)

• Strong ITIL/ITSM understanding: Incident, Problem, Change, lifecycle management

• Proven full product lifecycle management experience

• Understanding of IT operations, maintenance, capacity planning, and service continuity

• Knowledge of information security, governance, risk management, and compliance

• Experience with diverse business and technical stakeholders

• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills

• Ability to translate business requirements into product decisions/solutions

• Fluent English
