Description

Business Analyst role supporting Frontex enterprise software initiatives, focusing on automating business processes and improving collaboration through SharePoint and ServiceNow-based applications and tools. You will model and document value chains/streams and business processes, elicit and analyze requirements and user stories, and translate business and technical needs into business requirement specifications and roadmaps. You will also contribute to business process excellence, continuous improvements, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Model and document value chains/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities and data
• Elicit and analyze business needs, requirements and user stories
• Support business experts and product owners during requirements definition and software development
• Maintain and track requirements/user stories across the systems lifecycle
• Map business goals, benefits, priorities, components and system features
• Analyze available systems and identify solution options
• Prepare business cases and feasibility studies
• Contribute to systems design, testing, quality assurance and change management
• Design, validate and test business processes to drive process excellence
• Plan and manage continuous business process improvement programmes
• Coach Frontex staff on upcoming changes and ensure plans to teach new skills/process changes
• Collaborate with end-to-end process owners to continually seek process improvements
• Identify opportunities for business process improvement (customer service, cost reduction, revenue increase)
• Communicate project objectives, business case, requirements and scope to stakeholders
• Perform quantitative analysis (cost-benefit and what-if)
• Plan organizational process changes
• Implement performance monitoring systems for business processes
• Support business users in strategic/tactical planning (e.g., sector strategies and implementation plans)
• Support definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT professional experience
• Minimum 3 years of project experience relevant to the profile or in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher vocational education)
• Hold at least two certifications: CCBA (or equivalent) and Certified UML Professional (foundation) or BPM 2 Fundamental (or equivalent)
• Completed at least one full SDLC
• Knowledge in business process modeling using BPMN notation
• Experience eliciting, analyzing requirements and defining user stories
• Knowledge of analysis/modelling notations such as UML (capability diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams, logical data models)
• Proficiency with modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect or equivalent
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to create and maintain analytical/project documentation
• Must have: BA experience for a large-scale project (>1 year) with ERP deployment budget > €1M
• Experience analyzing business processes such as Logistics, Warehouse Management, Asset Management, Fleet Management, Financial Management, Legal, HR, and Project Management
• Experience in business (and optionally system) analysis considering ServiceNow capabilities: ITSM (Hardware Asset Management, CMDB), SecOps, Customer Service Management, Enterprise Assets Management, Strategic Portfolio Management (on-prem and cloud)
• At least one valid ServiceNow certificate (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Citizen Developer, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist or other relevant ServiceNow-issued certificate)
