Description

You will support an EU-institutions ICT program as a Business Analyst, covering business process and value-chain modeling, requirements/user story elicitation and analysis, and contribution to design, testing, quality assurance, and change management.

The work includes translating business, user, and technical needs into requirements specifications, mapping business goals and priorities to components and system features, and supporting business cases and feasibility studies.

The assignment requires experience related to the Schengen Information System (SIS) and biometric/document scanning use cases, along with knowledge of EU data privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and information security risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Higher education

  • At least 8 years of IT experience; at least 5 years in a Business Analyst role

  • Experience through at least one complete software solution lifecycle

  • Business process modeling using BPMN

  • Requirements and user stories elicitation and analysis

  • UML and other modeling notations (capability/activity/state diagrams, logical data model)

  • Proficiency with modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or ARIS Architect (or others)

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Business Analyst experience on ICT projects analyzing, designing, implementing, and deploying solutions part of (or querying) the Schengen Information System

  • Business Analyst experience on ICT projects enabling biometric/document scanning (NIST-formatted fingerprints, MRZ documents, or RFID chip biometric documents)

  • Knowledge/experience in data privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments, and information security risk assessment in EU-institution environments

  • At least 2 certifications among: CBAP (or equivalent) and UML foundation or BPM 2 fundamental (or equivalent, subject to Contracting Authority acceptance)
