Role Description

Forward Deployed Engineers take a defined use case from nothing to a working, production-grade system inside the customer’s environment. The role combines two disciplines—conversation/agent design and integration engineering—to deliver end-to-end systems that go live, then iterate based on real traffic and customer KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into technical architecture aligned with the customer’s processes, constraints, and systems.
• Design, build, and iterate the first working version end to end (no prototype hand-off).
• Close product gaps by building custom extensions, integrations, services, and tooling needed for the deployment.
• Own the integration surface: systems of record, contact channels, and data flows (including voice telephony path from carrier to agent).
• Define workflow-specific tests to validate real performance; iterate against real traffic until KPIs improve.
• Deploy alongside customer engineers, monitor against agreed metrics, tune performance, and stay accountable past go-live.
• Capture built solutions as reusable patterns and feed recurring improvements back into the platform.

Requirements

• 2+ years building and shipping software in a customer-facing role (forward-deployed, professional services, integration engineering, or product engineering with direct customer exposure).
• Genuine depth in at least one discipline (conversation/agent design or integration engineering) with appetite to grow the other.
• Strong production coding in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python and/or C#/.NET.
• Working experience with SQL, Linux, and Docker.
• Solid grasp of software architecture and API integration (authentication, webhooks, queues, error handling, failure modes).
• Experience distributing data across critically loaded infrastructure; ability to handle race conditions, deadlocks, and thread safety.
• Ability to work with customer engineers and executives: communicate clearly, present designs, defend trade-offs.
• Track record owning complex projects end to end against deliverables and deadlines.
• Comfort with ambiguity and non-deterministic systems (hypothesis, evaluation, iteration to measurable results).
• Willingness to travel; Professional English daily; Czech strongly preferred.
