Description

You will design integration architectures, define interfaces and data flows, and build integration solutions using REST/SOAP and event/messaging systems. The role includes driving integration concepts and technical standards, developing supporting scripts or tools, and ensuring stable integrations through testing, monitoring, and 3rd-level support.

Responsibilities

  • Design integration architectures; define interfaces and data flows in distributed system landscapes and microservice environments
  • Advance integration concepts, API governance, and technical standards; evaluate new technologies
  • Implement integration solutions, configure interfaces, and optimize communication via REST, SOAP, and event/messaging systems
  • Develop technical solutions and create scripts, mock services, or tools to support integration and testing
  • Create data mappings and transformation logic; optimize integration platforms
  • Structure complex requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and document them clearly
  • Visualize technical flows and system interactions using UML or sequence diagrams; facilitate workshops with stakeholders
  • Plan and manage integration and system tests, including targeted test automation and data-flow monitoring
  • Analyze data-exchange incidents, take ownership in 3rd-level support, and ensure stable integrations
  • Communicate with customers, business teams, and project leadership; coordinate transparently and provide project reporting

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable OR solid IT vocational training (e.g., system integration)
  • Several years of experience (ideally 6+ years) in system integration, integration architecture, interface development, or similar roles
  • Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, and event/messaging systems (e.g., Kafka or RabbitMQ), including integration patterns and API design
  • Secure hands-on skills with JSON, XML, data mappings, SQL, and Java; experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Routine with tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, Docker, Postman, Bruno, SoapUI, and Grafana
  • Experience in the insurance environment
  • German at C1/C2 and English at least B2
  • Flexibility for customer project assignments
  • Advantage: JavaScript for test automation; experience with Spring Boot, Apache Camel, or Guidewire
