Description

Lead end-to-end planning, execution, tracking, and governance for a high-priority international infrastructure transformation. Coordinate the transition from existing VMware environments toward Azure Native, in combination with target virtualization platforms such as Nutanix and Hyper-V (including complex vApps and vTemplates). Ensure reliable delivery through structured migration waves, governance, reporting, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project planning, execution, tracking, and governance for a large-scale international infrastructure migration
• Coordinate VMware exit activities for 15,000–20,000 workloads, including complex vApps and vTemplates
• Drive the transition toward Azure Native while also leveraging Nutanix and Hyper-V as target platforms
• Plan migration waves and manage dependencies, milestones, and deliverables across multiple sites
• Coordinate stakeholders across infrastructure, cloud, application, and business teams across the US, Europe, and India
• Establish transparent governance and reporting for progress, risks, and dependencies
• Proactively identify critical dependencies, resolve blockers, and drive escalations for successful delivery
• Work closely with international technical teams and external technology partners throughout the transformation

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Senior Project Manager leading complex IT infrastructure, cloud, or transformation programs
• Proven track record in large-scale infrastructure migrations, ideally including VMware exit or virtualization transformation
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and cloud transformation projects (Azure Native experience highly desirable)
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, and workload migration (Nutanix and Hyper-V knowledge is a plus)
• Strong experience in project planning, governance, risk management, dependency management, and delivery control
• Experience working with agile or hybrid project methodologies in complex enterprise environments
• Highly proactive, execution-focused mindset; ability to drive cross-functional teams without relying solely on formal authority
• Excellent English communication skills (German is a plus)
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Germany (e.g., Erlangen) for workshops, meetings, and critical phases
