Description

You will take end-to-end ownership of the systems running on Azure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost. The role includes operating and scaling Kubernetes across dev, staging, and production, managing Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD, and improving observability and identity/auth infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own Azure infrastructure end to end across reliability, scalability and cost
• Operate and scale Kubernetes (dev, staging & production), including upgrades, autoscaling, networking and ingress
• Manage Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD across the cloud stack
• Support backend development, integrations and production troubleshooting
• Run observability across logs, metrics, alerting and incident response
• Improve identity/auth infrastructure and contribute to security & compliance readiness
• Drive cloud cost optimization
• Plan and potentially execute a migration from Azure Germany to an EU-based hosting provider

Requirements

• Substantial hands-on experience managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters in production (not entry-level)
• Deep practical Azure expertise at production scale, including AKS, networking, storage and IAM
• Strong Kubernetes architecture & operations skills
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or similar tooling
• Experience across CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with service mesh / API gateways
• Experience with production identity & auth systems
• Solid backend development skills
