Description

You will translate IT architecture concepts into implementable technical solutions and realize infrastructure and Azure Cloud projects end-to-end, including handover to operations. You will advance the cloud strategy operationally, define and embed standards for operations, security, and documentation (runbooks), and support platform operation in virtualized environments and Windows Server. You will provide qualified second-level support, resolve complex incidents with root-cause analysis, and plan and implement system hardening measures, including patching and least-privilege approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver infrastructure and Azure Cloud projects independently, including operational handover and documentation

  • Implement and institutionalize cloud operation, security, and documentation standards (runbooks)

  • Support and further develop platform operations in virtualized environments (VMware or comparable) and Windows Server

  • Provide second-level support and permanently resolve complex issues (root-cause analysis, actions, lessons learned)

  • Plan and implement system hardening and security measures (patching, least privilege, hardening standards) and manage external partners technically

Requirements

  • Several years of system administration experience in an SMB/enterprise environment or internationally distributed infrastructure

  • Broad practical experience in virtualization (e.g., VMware), Windows Server operations, monitoring/recovery, and security basics (hardening, patching, least privilege)

  • Very good knowledge of cloud and hybrid topics, especially Microsoft Azure

  • Experience implementing technical measures and IT projects independently, including structured handover to operations and documentation

  • Travel readiness (~10–20 days/year)

  • Secure collaboration in German and English (communication and documentation)
