Description

Design, develop, and operate modern, secure, highly available cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. Create scalable cloud architectures, architecture/operations concepts, migration strategies, and Azure Landing Zones aligned with the Cloud Adoption Framework. Optimize costs and resource usage, implement Azure networking and security/identity patterns, automate infrastructure, and run monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conception, architecture, implementation, and stable operation of Azure cloud platforms
• Design and document scalable, secure, highly available cloud architectures
• Create architecture concepts, solution designs, operations concepts, and migration strategies
• Plan and execute cloud migrations (Lift & Shift, Re-Platforming, Re-Architecting)
• Build and evolve Azure Landing Zones based on CAF
• Optimize costs and efficiently manage resources (FinOps fundamentals, Azure Cost Management)
• Design and implement Azure network structures (VNet, peering, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Azure Front Door)
• Integrate on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments; implement Zero-Trust architectures
• Implement network security and identity concepts (NSG, Azure Firewall, WAF, RBAC, Conditional Access)
• Ensure compliance, data protection, and security requirements
• Automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), PowerShell, or Azure CLI
• Implement and operate monitoring, logging, and alerting (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights)
• Own stability, performance, backup, and disaster recovery concepts
• Continuously support, optimize, and evolve existing Azure environments
• Advise internal/external stakeholders on Azure architectures and cloud strategies
• Conduct workshops, proof-of-concepts, architecture reviews, and technical presentations
• Collaborate closely with project management, Security, Compliance, Workplace, DevOps, and application teams

Requirements

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung als Cloud Engineer or comparable role; certifications desirable (AZ-104/AZ-305 ideal; AZ-500/AZ-700 beneficial)
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Compute, Storage, Networking, Governance & Management) and best-practice frameworks
• Strong networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLAN, subnetting, WAN, VPN; TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Structured, analytical, solution-oriented working style
• High sense of responsibility and quality focus
• Clear communication and strong consulting mindset
• Interest in new technologies and continuous learning
• Very good German and good English
