Description

You will help build a future-proof foundation on MS Azure by planning, implementing, and administering a secure, high-performing cloud infrastructure. The role includes cloud migrations from on-premises systems, Azure operations (network, storage, virtual machines), and automation of routine processes. You will also implement security, backup/recovery, and compliance requirements while monitoring performance and troubleshooting production incidents.

Responsibilities

• Consult international business teams and collaborate closely with IT teams

• Plan and implement cloud infrastructure for performance and security

• Administer and maintain the Microsoft Azure landscape (network components, storage solutions, virtual machines)

• Automate processes and routine tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and/or Azure Runbooks

• Plan and execute migrations from on-premises to Azure cloud

• Implement security measures plus backup and recovery solutions

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

• Monitor and analyze system performance and resource utilization

• Resolve production issues during day-to-day operations

Requirements

• Completed IT degree or IT training (Fachinformatiker) or equivalent qualification

• Multi-year experience in independent administration of Microsoft Azure environments

• In-depth knowledge of integrating third-party cloud solutions

• Confident use of Azure services for compute, storage, network, and security

• Routine with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Azure Runbooks)

• Very good German and good English

• Team communication, analytical thinking, and structured working style

• Solution-oriented, cross-team collaboration and readiness to help shape solutions

• Ideally: experience with network administration and basic ITIL knowledge

• Strong architectural understanding
