Description

Build reliable backend systems for fragmented but high-value insurance data. As part of the Core Backend team, you’ll design services, data models, pipelines, and evaluation loops that improve completeness, transparency, and explainability of decisions. You’ll work on business-critical infrastructure with high ownership and fast iteration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and supporting data models

• Build data pipelines and evaluation loops for decision intelligence

• Improve data completeness and make decisions more transparent and explainable

• Drive projects to completion with minimal oversight

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience

• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving

• Proficiency in Python (main stack)

• Experience with serverless (Lambda, EC2), asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments

• Comfortable with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL

• Thrive on experimentation (test, measure, iterate)

• Proactive communication and ownership
