Description

As part of the AI Platform Services team, you will build and evolve backend services and platforms that power customer-facing and internal AI/ML data workflows. You will develop GraphQL and REST APIs, integrations, and data-access systems, ensuring they are reliable, secure, observable, and scalable. You’ll also implement asynchronous, event-driven processing and continuously improve testing and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve backend services, GraphQL and REST APIs, and integrations

• Design and maintain API contracts and data-access patterns for application workflows

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases for dependable, scalable behavior

• Implement asynchronous and event-driven processing to improve resilience

• Improve testing, observability, performance, and operational readiness

• Own work from implementation through deployment, production support, and iterative improvements

• Partner with frontend, product/design, and data teams to deliver capabilities

• Participate in code reviews and shared engineering practices/peer learning

Requirements

• Significant contributions to production backend systems, APIs, or services

• Agentic development as a core way of working

• Strong experience with TypeScript and Python for server-side development

• Experience designing, building, and integrating GraphQL and REST APIs

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and NoSQL systems (DynamoDB or Cloud Firestore)

• Experience building and operating serverless functions (AWS Lambda or Cloud Run)

• Experience with automated testing, debugging, and production support for distributed systems

• Familiarity with Git-based collaboration and continuous-integration workflows

• Strong communication skills and constructive pull-request review/peer mentorship
