Description

Work on backend services, data pipelines, and ML pipelines that support a production AI product used by commercial insurance underwriters. You will ingest, process, and reason over large volumes of structured and unstructured data, including documents, third-party sources, and model outputs. You’ll take end-to-end ownership of features while collaborating with experienced engineers to design, test, and operate scalable production systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services for product and R&D systems

• Design and implement data and ML pipelines

• Build systems to ingest, process, and reason over structured and unstructured data

• Contribute to production system design, build, testing, and operations at scale

• Own features from start to finish

Requirements

• Approximately 1 year of professional software engineering experience shipping production systems

• Strong fundamentals in at least one programming language; know Python

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Enjoy writing code and solving non-trivial technical problems

• Curious about AI, data, and real-world applications of machine learning

• Take ownership and comfortable working with ambiguity

• Move fast, learn quickly, and value high standards
