Description

Build and improve backend services, APIs, and integrations in an agile environment with a strong focus on quality and performance. Analyze new features, designs, and releases; strengthen test automation and testing practices; and work with databases and data securely. Collaborate to reproduce and prioritize bugs, and support junior team members with effective testing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software for new features, designs, and releases, including test automation

• Own app and software testing and recommend testing improvements

• Develop APIs and integrations that are secure, well-tested, and highly performant

• Continuously improve code, systems, practices, and knowledge

• Work with databases and data to store and process information securely and effectively

• Evaluate and implement new custom UI approaches for efficiency and performance

• Liaise with users to prioritize and reproduce inbound bug reports

• Identify effective testing strategies and provide continuous support to junior staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree

• 4+ years Java software development

• 4+ years using Spring Boot

• 4+ years integrating with external services

• Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly

• Detail-oriented and committed to quality

• Positive, collaborative attitude toward testing

• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers
