Description

Lead the technical design of single-phase, in-row high-coolant distribution units (CDUs) within a cross-functional global development team. Partner with offering teams and PMO to develop product offerings, SRS/ERS, and delivery timelines, while reviewing drawings and bills of materials. Mentor engineers, run cross-functional design reviews, and ensure compliance with applicable design standards and cost-reduction changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team’s technical development of single-phase in-row coolant distribution units (CDUs)

• Collaborate with offering teams on product offerings and SRS/ERS

• Work with PMO to create project timelines and ensure on-time deliverables

• Check and approve drawings and bill of materials (BOM)

• Lead and review cross-functional engineering design work

• Facilitate cross-functional design reviews and ensure compliance with Vertiv and HDLC design standards

• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and lead design/development of cost-reduction changes

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an accredited institution

• 5+ years of experience in a technical product development role

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team

• Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members

• Proven history of delivering quality products to market and understanding product development phases

• Strong project management skills and excellent written/verbal communication

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferred Creo 4.0 or newer)
