Description

Drive new product development and design concept generation, including mechanical sizing and system modeling. Provide customer and internal technical support, optimize components and control systems/logics to reduce cost, and manage NPD projects end-to-end. Lead qualification, verification, and validation testing, analyze results, and produce engineering reports and project status updates.

Responsibilities

  • New product development and technical concept generation
  • Technical support across customers and internal departments (production, procurement, quality, etc.)
  • Component cost optimization and improvement
  • Optimization of control systems and logic; management of NPD projects
  • Mechanical engineering work (component sizing, mathematical system models)
  • Plan, supervise, and evaluate qualification/verification/validation tests
  • Performance and reliability testing, test data processing and evaluation
  • Write engineering reports and manage project cost control
  • Apply Lean development principles and ensure strong execution
  • Engineering/lab project team leading, prioritization, motivation, and task assignment
  • Coordinate with colleagues in Europe, the US, and Asia
  • DFMEA and risk mitigation/problem solving
  • Product/component certification to applicable standards
  • Prototyping and troubleshooting
  • Technical ownership of the product platform, including innovations and cost reduction
  • Implement product changes in documentation; create/update product specifications
  • New software qualification and SW parameter setting
  • Product benchmarking and test equipment design
  • Project status reporting to upper management

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering
  • Engineering education/experience in Thermodynamics
  • 1–2+ years in a technical role in an industrial environment
  • Experience with product certification processes
  • Project team leadership experience
  • Good understanding of mechanical designs and BOM structure
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • English (B2) and Czech (fluent)—both mandatory
  • Daily user of MS Office (Excel, Word/Work, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Project planning and tracking skills; systematic problem-solving approach
  • Production technology knowledge
  • Team player, cooperative mindset; high motivation and commitment
  • Innovative and analytical thinking; passion for technology
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel worldwide
