Description

Work in an existing, business-critical Java application environment as a Java architect combining architecture consulting, hands-on development, and 3rd-level support. You will create technical concepts and system specifications, guide development teams, and update architecture documentation while also performing Java programming with unit testing. You will analyze incidents, propose workarounds, and implement sustainable fixes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical architecture consulting
• Create technical concepts and system specifications
• Design Java and enterprise application architecture
• Lead and technically mentor development and concept teams
• Maintain and update architecture and developer documentation
• Develop Java components and write unit tests
• Perform 3rd-level incident intake, documentation, and feedback
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Define workarounds and implement long-term error fixes

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in technical architecture and software development
• Strong Java programming skills
• Experience designing Java and enterprise application architectures
• Practical experience with unit testing
• Strong knowledge of Java EE/Jakarta EE technologies and frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, EJB, JBoss, Eclipse)
• Experience with incident management and 3rd-level support
• Very good German language skills (at least B2)
