Description

Work on a strategic Finance transformation programme in a leading banking environment. You will gather and document requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications, support system configuration, and assist with system integration and user acceptance testing. The role also includes technical accounting analysis and interpretation of complex financial data to help ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business analysis, documentation, and system configuration support for Finance transformation initiatives

  • Engage with Finance stakeholders across multiple functions to gather, analyse, and document business requirements

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and project deliverables

  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring effective communication across the testing lifecycle

  • Conduct technical accounting analysis and interpret complex financial data to identify issues and recommend solutions

  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet agreed specifications, quality standards, and timelines

  • Collaborate with project teams, Finance SMEs, and technology partners

  • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and key milestones

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Strong understanding of IFRS reporting standards

  • Degree-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline

  • Proven experience supporting Finance transformation or change programmes within Banking or Financial Services

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with experience in financial modelling and financial data analysis

  • Strong SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data extraction and analysis)

  • Experience gathering requirements and producing high-quality business and functional documentation

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities

  • Experience supporting Finance-focused UAT, particularly for new product onboarding, is advantageous
