Description

The Trade Payables Finance Systems Engineering Lead drives business solution analysis and technology delivery for trade finance and supply chain finance applications. You will partner with product, operations, and engineering to define the vision and make strategic IT trade-off decisions while modernizing architecture with Continuous Integration–Continuous Delivery and DevOps. The role includes designing and recommending scalable, reliable, high-performance solutions using modern Java-based technology.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a Business Solution Analyst unit focused on building Trade Finance / Supply Chain Finance business systems.
• Partner with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to deliver the defined vision/goals/strategy.
• Lead technical direction and strategic decisions for IT project leadership; drive stakeholder discussions and smart trade-offs.
• Design, research, develop, analyze, and recommend new solutions to keep systems competitive and responsive.
• Foster innovation and adoption of emerging technologies and open standards across the development organization.
• Improve cross-product architecture by pushing modern development methods including CI/CD and DevOps.
• Manage the regulatory agenda and ensure consistent delivery and prioritization with IT and business stakeholders.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery: planning, reporting, issue/risk tracking, scope management, estimation, and client relationship management.
• Coach and mentor analysts; establish reusable design/integration patterns and communicate them across teams.
• Define and track metrics for design quality, business value delivery, and user adoption.
• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders; assess and manage risk with compliance and ethical judgment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on business solution analysis and technology delivery experience.
• Deep expertise as a hands-on technology solutions leader on complex systems in a large organization; ability to structure and lead multiple product-centric engineering teams.
• Experience delivering high-quality technology products/services in a high-growth environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
• Proven delivery transformation experience using SAFe Agile, with a focus on building Continuous Delivery culture/process.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and BDD/TDD; experience with associated developer toolchains.
• Strong understanding of DevOps models and best practices.
• Significant delivery skills as a contributor or project lead.
• Hands-on Java and Spring Framework experience.
• Experience with Oracle (RDBMS) and MongoDB (NoSQL).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with event-driven architecture (Solace or Kafka) and CQRS.
• Experience with API documentation and API ecosystems, API-driven payment/services, security patterns, PII handling, and API gateway.
• Proven ability to performance-tune large systems handling significant volumes.
• Experience building enterprise transaction-based systems with emphasis on recovery, stability, reliability, scalability, and performance.
• First-class leadership and influencing skills; stakeholder management and talent development.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); Master’s preferred.
