Description

You will lead the end-to-end development and maintenance of secure, scalable digital solutions that support the design, implementation, and monitoring of EU-funded programs. The role spans front-end architecture and user interactions through back-end business logic, APIs, databases, security, performance, and cloud deployment. You will work across API and messaging integrations, CI/CD and containerization (Kubernetes), ensuring solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop front-end application architecture and user interfaces
  • Build and develop back-end applications and implement core business logic
  • Deliver features end-to-end: UI, API integrations, server logic, and database layer
  • Design, develop, and integrate APIs
  • Work with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Hibernate
  • Integrate systems using REST, SOAP, and Apache Kafka
  • Design and develop scalable solutions
  • Collaborate between front-end and back-end teams to ensure consistent system integration
  • Apply security best practices: input validation, authentication, authorization, secure data storage, and compliant logging/monitoring
  • Ensure performance and scalability across browsers and devices
  • Write clean, readable, maintainable code
  • Create unit and integration tests, debug, and validate changes
  • Analyze technical problems, data, processes, and code to identify improvement areas
  • Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments
  • Work with CI/CD and containerization, including Kubernetes
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Deliver solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements and user expectations

Requirements

  • Master’s-level education (or at least 5 years of higher education)
  • Minimum 15 years total IT experience
  • Minimum 10 years back-end experience: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Hibernate
  • Minimum 3 years API and messaging experience: Apache Kafka, REST, SOAP
  • Minimum 3 years DevOps and container orchestration experience using Kubernetes
  • Minimum 3 years experience with Camunda workflow tool
  • Minimum 5 years experience with EU Cohesion Policy and Structural Funds, including designing, implementing, and monitoring digital solutions for EU-funded programs
  • Required certifications: Oracle SCJP 6.0; OMG-OCUP-100; Oracle 1Z0-047; APMG Agile Project Management Foundation
  • English proficiency C1 or higher (speaking and writing)
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new projects and technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international environment
  • Readiness to participate in multilingual meetings
  • Knowledge of security and cloud best practices
  • Ability to integrate front-end and back-end components within CI/CD processes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Goal-oriented mindset with delivery of measurable results
