Description

Lead software engineering to design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, high-quality production systems. Drive adoption of enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while establishing validation standards for security, peer review, and automated testing. Deliver architecture/design artifacts for complex applications and proactively improve engineering hygiene using insights from data patterns.

Role & Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end software solutions: design, development, and technical troubleshooting

• Lead team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices (e.g., AI code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, support for incident/root-cause analysis)

• Establish validation standards: secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reuse of effective patterns

• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms with target systems

• Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure design constraints are met in code

• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data; use insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture

• Contribute to engineering communities of practice and events exploring new/emerging technologies

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts plus 5+ years applied experience

• 8+ years of software development experience

• Demonstrated experience leading approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs (correctness, performance, security)

• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows (data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency and security) and coaching engineers

• Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures)

• Practical experience with Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data), RESTful APIs, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and microservices architectures

• Practical knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, and source code management tools (Git, Bitbucket)

• Proficiency designing and implementing data models for relational databases; experience with PostgreSQL

• Experience working on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure/Kubernetes)
