Description

You will design and develop backend components from initial design through deployment and production maintenance, ensuring high-quality delivery.

You’ll coordinate with Frontend and DevOps, participate in system-level architectural decisions, and lead project and code reviews. The work supports the creation of the client’s first R&D center in Poland with the perspective of long-term backend development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend components across the full product lifecycle (design, implementation, production support)
• Coordinate cross-team work with Frontend and DevOps to deliver high-quality functionality
• Analyze and improve performance, scalability, and stability of backend system components
• Participate in technology and architecture decision-making at the system level
• Lead project reviews and code review

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with Java
• 3+ years of experience as a Tech Lead
• Experience designing and implementing data-intensive systems, including message-queueing technologies
• Willingness for occasional project meetings in Kraków (approximately 2x per week)
• Cloud platform experience: AWS or GCP or Azure
• Fluent Polish
• English proficiency: C1
