Description

Drive sales and demand for ACH through clinical selling and disease/product education to referring and treating healthcare providers in pediatric endocrinology, pediatric orthopedics, and genetics. Maintain deep knowledge of disease states and product labeling, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (including field-based clinical support), and support office readiness for patient starts. Achieve area sales objectives, market penetration, new patient starts, and revenue targets quarterly and annually while operating compliantly in a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve area sales objectives, market penetration, new patient starts, and revenue targets (quarterly and annual)

  • Drive demand through clinical selling and education focused on skeletal conditions; cold call key accounts as needed for access

  • Implement an effective business plan and track progress

  • Develop and maintain relationships with pediatric endocrinology, pediatric orthopedics, genetics, and key referring physicians

  • Participate in disease awareness efforts and educate on burden/natural history through professional society meetings (as assigned)

  • Collaborate with the Skeletal Dysplasia brand team and coordinate with MSLs, Market Access, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders as needed

  • Become an expert in clinical data and explain its significance to stakeholders

  • Proactively provide business insights to internal partners about assigned accounts’ clinical practices

  • Operate in compliance with training, policies, guidelines, and best judgment

  • Work effectively with ambiguity and remain agile as organizational needs evolve

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • At least 5 years of sales experience in biotech/rare disease involving technically challenging specialty products and first-in-class launches

  • Experience in office-based selling with complex referral-to-prescriber healthcare provider models in newly created markets

  • Experience working with a field team model including field-based clinical support and a reimbursement hub model

  • Pediatric endocrinology and/or pediatric orthopedics experience strongly preferred

  • Experience in new product launches, preferably first-in-class

  • Ability to work directly with patients/families and commit to long sales cycles to create a medical home

  • Cold calling targeted specialties is required

Additional

  • Evening/weekend work may be required for educational events (in person and virtual)

  • Overnight travel required: 40%–60% depending on territory and business needs

  • Advanced virtual skillset required to balance travel demands with virtual provider/caregiver meetings
