Description

Own territory and strategic account sales for the Diagnostic Solutions (DS) product portfolio. Lead account planning and coordinate decision makers across the customer buying process to secure contractual purchases. Drive demand creation, product conversions, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction through ongoing customer contact and post-sale support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory and strategic account sales plan with multiple stakeholders

  • Build hospital-specific account plans aligned to economic and strategic business drivers

  • Present clinically relevant product features/benefits and economic justification; create customer-specific selling tools

  • Coordinate influencers and decision makers through the full buying process to contractual agreements

  • Maintain and grow revenue; ensure customer satisfaction through consistent customer contact

  • Work with internal DS teams and distribution partners to support growth and retention

  • Achieve or exceed sales plan targets for DS: Manual Microbiology, Blood Culture, TB, ID/AST, and Molecular Diagnostics

  • Manage the sales process across micro/molecular/virology, infectious disease clinicians, pharmacy, value analysis, and hospital administration

  • Call on prospective customers and deliver product information/demos; orchestrate new customer acquisition strategies with the DS team

  • Demonstrate soft and hard costs to drive successful product conversion within institutions

  • Develop and close accounts across the geographic territory using a coordinated team-selling model

  • Coordinate customer needs (inventory/supply chain updates, contract changes, competitive intelligence) with distributors

  • Prioritize direct distributor calls to protect existing sales and identify additional revenue opportunities

  • Forecast and manage selling activity; close deals as required

  • Provide continuous post-sale support and coordinate with service teams for successful installations and long-term satisfaction

  • Handle administrative duties: expense monitoring to budget, timely reporting, funnel/competitive data entries, new contracts and renewals, and proper use/maintenance of company assets; follow OSHA and Universal Lab precautions

Requirements

  • BA/BS in life sciences/biological areas/business/related field; MT ASCP or Microbiology degree preferred

  • Minimum 3 years documented sales success (top 20%) selling broad range laboratory products, including at least 1 year clinical laboratory and/or hospital sales

  • Combination of clinical market sales and financial or technical selling experience

  • Ability to attain/exceed overall sales plan profitability and assigned goals

  • Knowledge of selling process components to build and maintain customer loyalty

  • Strong preparation, presentation, and closing skills for direct sales and distribution/team-selling approaches

  • Strong organizational skills including territory management, account assessment, and relationship development

  • Analytical, financially oriented skills for contract proposals and profitability/budget/expense management

  • Ability to develop markets for new technology and new medical practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Computer proficiency: MS Office, Salesforce.com, Power BI, and connectivity devices

  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to meet auto safety standards

  • Reside in or near Portland, OR
