Description

Assist in financial analysis, pricing, and risk assessment to estimate outcomes. Support business decision-making through healthcare cost trend evaluation, medical claims analysis, identification of savings opportunities, and clear communication of results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Connect healthcare data sources (e.g., eligibility, revenue, claims, provider, and others) to identify and quantify savings opportunities
  • Analyze healthcare cost trends and required premium rates
  • Build and run actuarial models using clear, flexible assumptions and produce summarized outputs
  • Work with large relational datasets and manage varying levels of data granularity for input data consolidation
  • Assist with developing probability tables based on statistical analysis
  • Assess cash reserves and liabilities to enable payment of future benefits
  • Develop data reports and assist with determining an equitable basis for distributing money for insurance benefits
  • Participate in merger and acquisition analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Combination of actuarial experience and passed actuarial exams such that (years of experience + exams passed) equals or exceeds 5 (Rule of 5)
  • Demonstrated progress toward an actuarial credential through successful completion of actuarial exams
  • Healthcare analytics experience, including cost trend and/or medical claims analysis
