Description

You will build backend platform services that abstract the complexity across dozens of hardware vendors, operating systems, firmware versions, and unreliable networks behind a single developer experience. The work involves distributed systems and asynchronous communication between cloud services and physical devices, with reliability at scale and graceful recovery without human intervention.

Responsibilities

• Build core platform services primarily with TypeScript and Node.js
• Design distributed systems for asynchronous communication over unreliable networks
• Develop platform architecture and shared capabilities that unify multiple hardware platforms
• Improve resilience and reliability when devices go offline and networks/firmware behave inconsistently
• Contribute across the stack occasionally, while staying fundamentally backend-focused

Requirements

• Backend engineering experience building distributed systems
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience with reliability-focused infrastructure for real-world failure modes
• Ability to handle heterogeneous hardware/vendor behavior and inconsistent firmware
• Communicative English
• Czech or Slovak speaker
