Description

Build and evolve production backend services and scalable, secure architectures on Google Cloud Platform while still writing production code. The role spans Kubernetes and serverless, event-driven design with Pub/Sub, PostgreSQL performance for high concurrency, and secure authentication/authorization using OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production backend services, with strong use of Go
• Design and implement scalable, secure service architecture running on Google Cloud Platform
• Build solutions for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run
• Create event-driven architecture using Pub/Sub
• Optimize PostgreSQL performance in high-concurrency environments
• Own the full lifecycle of services: implementation, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and cost optimization
• Design and manage OAuth2 and OpenID Connect mechanisms in Google Cloud
• Develop and manage infrastructure with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Design solutions with security, automation, observability, and reliability in mind

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of Go and experience creating and deploying production services
• Experience with Python and/or Node.js
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially GKE, Cloud Run, or Filestore
• Knowledge of Terraform and an Infrastructure as Code approach
• Experience designing scalable and secure backend services
• Practical knowledge of security topics, including Zero Trust, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect
• Comfortable communication in English
