Description

You will own backend development end-to-end—from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and maintenance. The role focuses on building robust backend solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js & Next.js), REST and GraphQL APIs, and AWS serverless architectures and workflow orchestration. You will also design database models and contribute to CI/CD and infrastructure practices.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance)
• Develop and maintain backend solutions (JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js & Next.js)
• Design backend services: REST and GraphQL APIs, serverless architectures, microservices, and workflow orchestration with state machines
• Create and document system architecture and sequence diagrams
• Design, implement, and maintain relational and non-relational databases (data modeling, integrity, performance, maintainability)
• Utilize AWS serverless services for deployment and management (Lambda, Step Functions, AppSync, EventBridge, SQS, Kinesis, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk)
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
• Use infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration (Terraform, Kubernetes)
• Collaborate with teams via code reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing
• Work in a Lite Agile environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js and Next.js
• Ability to analyze architecture and service dependencies; create sequence diagrams and technical documentation
• Expertise in GraphQL and REST API design, consumption, and architecture
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and ORM tools
• Excellent knowledge of AWS services and serverless computing (Lambda, Step Functions, AppSync, EventBridge, etc.)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform
• Fluency in English
