Description

You will drive the optimization and further development of the production IT application landscape, implementing new solutions to sustainably improve business processes and increase productivity. As the main point of contact, you oversee reliable operations—including installation, configuration, and systematic troubleshooting with resolution in 2nd and 3rd level support. You also coordinate application implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning projects, and provide recommendations for technology investments based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, install, and configure supported production IT applications
• Analyze incidents systematically and resolve errors via 2nd/3rd level support
• Ensure application performance and stability
• Lead and coordinate projects for implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning
• Act as interface between IT, production/process departments, and external partners
• Evaluate business requirements and recommend investments in new technologies
• Provide transparent updates on operational progress and application performance to stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
• Strong knowledge of IoT, data analysis, and data visualization
• Comprehensive technical understanding of MES, SCADA, and CAQ systems
• Analytical mindset for precise analysis of complex problems and processes
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in a manufacturing company is mandatory
• Ability to plan and organize day-to-day work effectively
• Willingness for occasional business travel
• Very good German and good English skills
