Description

You will drive the optimization and further development of the production IT landscape by implementing new solutions that sustainably improve business processes and productivity. As the main point of contact, you own reliable operation, installation, and configuration of the supported applications, and you systematically analyze and resolve incidents including 2nd/3rd level support while ensuring application performance. You also lead projects for implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning, and coordinate between technical IT, production/business departments, and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and extend production IT systems; implement new solutions

  • Ensure stable operation, installation, and configuration of supported applications

  • Analyze incidents systematically; fix errors via 2nd- and 3rd-level support; ensure application performance

  • Lead projects for implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning; coordinate with internal teams and external partners

  • Act as central interface between technical IT, business departments (e.g., production), and external partners

  • Analyze requirements and provide recommendations for investments in new technologies

  • Report operational progress and application performance transparently to relevant stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification

  • Knowledge of IoT, data analysis and data visualization

  • Solid technical understanding of MES, SCADA, and CAQ systems

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and processes

  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience in a manufacturing company is mandatory

  • Willingness for occasional business travel

  • Very good German and good English skills
