Description

You will manage and support business applications with a focus on logistics, handling interfaces, change requests, and ongoing operational responsibility. The role includes planning and coordinating updates, release changes, feasibility analyses, 2nd-level support, monitoring, testing, documentation, and user training—working closely with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Application and interface support; process and implement change requests in logistics

  • Own application responsibility, including planning, controlling, and supporting updates and release changes

  • Perform feasibility analyses and coordinate complex changes with internal and external partners

  • Coordinate tasks in daily operations and ensure fulfillment as a central contact

  • Analyze, evaluate, and implement complex business requirements considering processes, system relationships, interfaces, and operational needs

  • Translate business and technical requirements into technical concepts and specifications

  • Contribute to IT projects affecting the supported systems; align and clarify requirements with relevant business areas and partners

  • Provide 2nd-level support and coordinate closely with 1st-level support; interface with 3rd-level support/vendor support

  • Advise and support business departments in the supported applications

  • Consolidate and harmonize requirements from multiple business areas or locations

  • Plan and perform maintenance activities

  • Configure, support, and monitor technical workflows and interfaces

  • Plan and perform functional and integration tests

  • Coordinate with central IT units and external service providers during operations and system landscape development

  • Contribute to standardization and harmonization of processes and solutions; propose improvements

  • Plan and conduct key-user and end-user training

  • Create and maintain solution descriptions and operational, support, and user documentation

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or similar

  • Multi-year experience in application support, IT systems administration, or comparable roles

  • ERP knowledge, preferably Infor LN

  • WMS knowledge, preferably WAMAS

  • Strong database knowledge, preferably Microsoft SQL Server

  • Administrative experience with Microsoft Windows

  • Confident use of Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to independently analyze complex requirements and convert them into sound technical solutions

  • Experience coordinating with business units, central IT, external service providers, and manufacturers/vendors

  • Strong technical understanding with good communication and coordination skills

  • Conceptual and analytical mindset

  • Independent, structured, solution-oriented way of working

  • Good German and English skills (written and spoken)
