Description

During the apprenticeship, you will build and maintain technical systems in the areas of safety/security, ITK technology, and automation technology. You will work often outdoors—for example on station grounds, in track areas, and in signal boxes—depending on the assignment. You’ll also gain practical experience by accompanying service technicians and working with network technology from copper to fiber.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain technical systems for safety/security, ITK technology, and automation technology (e.g., intrusion and fire alarm systems, video and public-address systems, displays, ticket vending machines, hot runner localization systems, various radio technologies)
• Work outdoors frequently in wind and weather (including station premises, track areas, and signal boxes)
• Work with network technology from copper to fiber optics
• Perform small assembly tasks
• Accompany service technicians on regional assignments and gain on-the-job experience

Requirements

• Successfully completed school education (or close to completion) with a qualification recognized in Germany
• German language skills at least B2
• Strong practical/hand skills
• Interest in varied work
• Willingness to work outdoors independently
• Teamwork and reliability
