Description

You will be an essential part of ensuring secure and reliable rail service by building, maintaining, and supporting technical systems. This apprenticeship combines work on security and ITK/automation equipment (e.g., intrusion and fire alarm systems, video and public address, displays and ticket machines) with hands-on outdoor work. You will also gain experience working with network technology from copper to fiber and assist service technicians on regional tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain technical systems in the areas of security, ITK technology, and automation technology

• Work outdoors on and around railway facilities (e.g., station areas, track area, control centers)

• Perform small installation and assembly tasks

• Work with networking technology ranging from copper to fiber optics

• Accompany service technicians during assignments in the region to learn on the job

Requirements

• School successfully completed soon, with a school qualification recognized in Germany

• German language skills at least B2

• Strong practical/hand skills

• Interest in varied work

• Willingness to work independently and outdoors

• Teamwork and reliability

• Class B driver’s license (manual transmission) completed or soon to be completed
