Description

During this apprenticeship, you’ll learn to build, maintain, and install technical systems for security, ITK technology, and automation technology. You’ll work extensively outdoors—on station grounds, in track areas, and in control/signal boxes—while gaining practical experience with networking technology ranging from copper to fiber optics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain various technical systems in safety, ITK, and automation (e.g., intrusion and fire alarm systems, video and public address systems, displays, ticket vending machines, hot-roller detection systems, and diverse wireless technologies)
• Spend a lot of time outdoors in all weather conditions (station premises, track areas, and signal boxes/control rooms)
• Work with network technology from copper to fiber optics
• Carry out small installation tasks
• Accompany service technicians on assignments in the region and build real-world experience

Requirements

• Successfully completed school with at least the Qualifying Secondary School Certificate (Qualifizierender Mittelschulabschluss) and a German-recognized qualification
• German skills of at least level B2
• Strong practical/hand skills
• Willingness to work independently and preferably outdoors
• Teamwork and reliability
• Interest in a varied job
