Description

Lead a multi-project hardware engineering organization responsible for electrical and electronic engineering solutions, including components, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms. Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs while coordinating with program management, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders, and executives to communicate status, escalate issues, and guide strategic decisions. Drive process improvements and cost reductions and provide people-care leadership for direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and ongoing leadership for engineering teams designing and developing solutions and managing projects

  • Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects and programs to meet goals, timelines, and budgets

  • Engage with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders, and executives to communicate program status and influence decisions

  • Manage relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, setting expectations for deliverables, quality, schedules, and costs

  • Identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities proactively

  • Provide people-care management: hiring, annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; set and drive performance standards and practices

Requirements

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience

  • Advanced university degree preferred

  • Typically 10+ years of related work experience, including 5+ years of people management experience

  • Advanced leadership skills (coaching, teambuilding, conflict resolution)

  • Advanced project management skills (time and risk management, resource prioritization, project structuring)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience managing human capital across geographies

  • Advanced communication skills (written, verbal, presentations); mastery in English and local language

  • Superior business acumen and technical knowledge across multiple business units and technologies

  • Strong relationship management and consulting/partnering capability

  • Strong understanding of company policies and processes
