Description

You will be part of the Hardware Development team developing new products, including portable and industrial thermal barcode printers, RFID, wireless solutions, and related accessories/services. The role includes designing from concept through mass production, participating in technical design reviews and architectural planning, and supporting existing printer product lines with yield and field quality improvements. You will also monitor industry advances and help ensure regulatory approvals (EMC and Safety).

Responsibilities

• Design new products from concept through mass production while balancing multiple concurrent projects
• Contribute to conceptual design, technical design reviews, and architectural strategic planning
• Present and communicate design information to cross-functional teams
• Maintain awareness of emerging technology, design standards, and competitive intellectual property
• Provide technical support for existing printer lines (yield issues, field quality concerns)
• Evaluate alternative electronic components to mitigate supply chain disruptions or obsolescence

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 9+ years of engineering experience with emphasis on Mixed Signal Circuit Design
• Advanced circuit modeling/simulation/troubleshooting and laboratory knowledge (e.g., LTSpice, TINA)
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using Mentor Graphics or Altium
• Extensive experience with RFID, SPI, I2C, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, USB, analog and power circuits, precision motor drive circuits, and thermal printhead control logic
• Track record with global regulatory approvals and EMC/Safety maintenance
• Demonstrated competency with test equipment including oscilloscopes, data collectors, electronic loads, and spectrum analyzers
• Excellent written and oral communication; self-motivated to drive independent, goal-oriented tasks
