About the role

As a Cloud Dev Engineer (AWS), you will support the transition of business-developed applications to the IT organization within the context of Amazon Web Services, ensuring the subsequent operations of these solutions. You will play an active role in establishing best practices and processes to efficiently maintain stable operations.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Cloud Dev Engineer taking over responsibility for the development and operation of several AWS cloud applications supporting the automation strategy.

How you will get the job done

  • Creating and structuring design elements to meet functional and non-functional requirements, adhering to architecture and coding guidelines
  • Designing, developing and testing technical solutions according to agreed specifications
  • Providing implementation effort estimates based on feature definitions in AWS, e.g. using AWS CodeCommit/CodePipeline issues or user stories
  • Supporting the deployment of applications from the development environment to the production environment
  • Testing modules and components and creating appropriate technical documentation
  • Supporting and maintaining applications hosted in the AWS cloud
  • Managing housekeeping tasks such as certificate rotation and applying patches to address security vulnerabilities
  • Providing technical support for applications, including reviewing and processing requests in ITSM tools, e.g. ServiceNow
  • Investigating and resolving issues and incidents in second-level support

Skills and experience you will need

  • Fluent in English and Polish
  • 3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services, including AWS services such as:
    • AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon ECS, AWS Lambda and Amazon EC2 for hosting front-end and back-end workloads
    • AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions and AWS Data Pipeline for ETL and workflow modeling
    • AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS and Amazon EventBridge for asynchronous communication
    • CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy and test management tools
    • Security, identity and access management in AWS, including IAM, Organizations, KMS and Security Groups
  • Background in .NET, C# or Python/R
  • Experience with Git for version-controlled development
  • Understanding of database management, e.g. Amazon RDS, Aurora and DynamoDB
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for a global work environment
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and identifying solutions
  • Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements
