Senior Data Engineer with German | f/m/d

How you will get the job done

  • Develop and implement strategic digitalisation projects that use AI across the insurance value chain to create sustainable competitive advantages.
  • Prepare and integrate large volumes of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from diverse sources for (Gen)AI solutions.
  • Contribute to the production deployment and operation of machine learning and (Gen)AI solutions (MLOps), including integration of (Gen)AI applications and processes.
  • Design, implement, and operate scalable data-management and (Gen)AI solutions for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in cloud environments.
  • Support and advise operational units on using results for the initial development and ongoing enhancement of machine learning and (Gen)AI applications.

Skills and experience you will need

  • Fluency in English and German.
  • University degree in natural sciences, (applied) mathematics, computer science, business informatics, or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of and experience in data modelling and data visualization, with a focus on scalable data-management concepts.
  • Experience with standardized ETL processes, data pipelines, and putting these and MLOps into production.
  • Sound knowledge of one or more programming, scripting, and database languages, such as Python, Spark, and SQL.
  • Experience with version-control systems, such as GitHub, and cloud technologies, such as Azure and AWS.
  • Willingness to innovate and a proactive, networked way of working to support development and production deployment of (Gen)AI and LLM technologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing data- and AI-driven solutions based on classical ML models, LLMs, RAG architectures, and agent-based systems.
  • Industry experience in insurance is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
