Senior IT System Analyst with German | f/m/d

How you will get the job done

  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders to gather, analyze, and define current business processes and requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
  • Create detailed business-analysis outcomes outlining problems and opportunities for business stakeholders.
  • Support the Project Manager in delivering the project plan on time and within budget, following project methodologies.
  • Track, report, and promptly resolve issues preventing requirements from being realized.
  • Communicate plans, status, risks, and issues to stakeholders precisely and promptly.
  • Support user participation in deployments and implementation activities.
  • Provide traceability for requirements and change requests; track delivery of requirements by the project team.
  • Assist with business-test preparation and execution for project deliverables, ensuring solutions meet business expectations within the approved project scope.
  • Create appropriate product documentation for maintenance and support.
  • Elicit and validate product requirements and translate them into relevant Product Backlog items and tasks.
  • Monitor completeness of business requirements and take responsibility for requirements quality.
  • Prepare estimations with the Development Team.
  • Continuously seek improvements and excellence.
  • Identify dependencies and blockers affecting the planned scope.
  • Partner with the Project Manager, Development Team, and Architects in discussions.
  • Support the Business Process Owner, IT Product Manager, Delivery Team, and Project Manager with detailed product-feature understanding during Agile increment-planning sessions.
  • Be responsible for product validation by supporting stakeholders during testing.

Skills and experience you will need

  • Fluent English and German.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the software development domain as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role.
  • Willingness to partner with the Project Manager and share responsibility for following up and escalating tasks and issues related to requirements delivery.
  • Ability to stand in for the Project Manager within the area of responsibility.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and proven experience in end-to-end software project delivery.
  • Ability to discuss and propose solutions for technical aspects of software delivery.
  • Experience preparing estimations with the Development Team.
  • Experience exploring and managing requirements in large corporate projects.
  • Analytical thinking and a problem-solving approach that can handle ambiguity.
  • Proactive approach and comfort working with senior decision-makers.
  • Team-player mindset, with the ability to collaborate positively and professionally with international team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Practical experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Travel to European branch locations may be required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain and with directory services such as Active Directory or Entra ID.
  • ITIL certification or willingness to pursue it.
  • Knowledge of or working experience with Scrum methodology.
