About the role

As a Solution Architect within the HR & Group Systems unit, the focus will be on Real Estate Services. You will make architectural decisions relating to software in the real estate services sector, design scalable solutions, and support technical issues within projects.

You will design IT architecture in alignment with customer requirements, IT architecture standards and guidelines, and Enterprise Architecture strategy, safeguarding conformity with the Target IT Architecture.

How you will get the job done

  • Define the strategic vision for Real Estate Services architecture, including application lifecycle, permission management, and retention policies.
  • Lead the design and governance of Real Estate Services applications, ensuring scalability, security, compliance (e.g. VAIT), and cost efficiency.
  • Scout and evaluate new Real Estate Services requirements, for example Archibus, AutoCAD, and Building Access; match them to business needs; and advise engineering and development teams on adoption.
  • Establish architectural standards and best practices.
  • Resolve complex technical issues, request feature enhancements, and ensure optimal licensing and setup.
  • Answer technical questions from product teams and negotiate architectural decisions during project planning and implementation.

Skills and experience you will need

  • Fluency in English and strong stakeholder communication skills.
  • Deep expertise in SaaS/Cloud (AWS), Azure, basic network architecture, governance, and integration.
  • Experience with desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art frameworks, including Java and SQL.
  • Experience designing permission management, retention policies, and application lifecycle processes.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, telemetry, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strategic thinking and vision-setting for CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management).
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Experience negotiating with external service providers.
