About the role

As a Senior IT System Analyst, you will support the delivery of IT solutions that meet business needs and customer expectations by providing high-quality analytical artifacts and system design recommendations.

You will identify, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements, translate business needs into effective system solutions, and ensure the completeness and consistency of requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive professional who can take ownership of complex analytical activities, collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT, and contribute to successful product and project delivery through strong analytical expertise and business understanding.

How you will get the job done

  • Manage communication and balance expectations between capability owners, end users, product teams, and service teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather, analyze, and validate business and system requirements.
  • Create and maintain use cases, process flows, and requirements documentation using established tools and standards.
  • Translate business needs into business features, product backlog items, and functional specifications for delivery teams.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and technical teams to assess solution feasibility and refine requirements within existing system constraints.
  • Co-create wireframes and support solution design activities with UI development teams.
  • Perform acceptance testing and validate delivered functionality through pull-request-based testing and other quality assurance activities.
  • Coordinate release activities, including release planning, release notes, change management, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support pre-production and production deployments, perform release validation, and ensure successful implementation of changes.

Skills and experience you will need

  • Fluent in English.
  • Several years of experience as a System Analyst, Requirements Engineer, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management.
  • Experience working closely with business stakeholders, product teams, developers, and technical architects.
  • Practical experience creating use cases, user stories, business features, and product backlog items.
  • Experience working in agile software delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Hands-on experience with acceptance testing, requirements validation, and quality assurance activities.
  • Experience supporting release management, deployment processes, and change management activities.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Miro, PowerPlatform, ServiceNow, or similar collaboration and delivery tools.
  • Practical knowledge of process and system modeling techniques, including UML, BPMN, or similar approaches.
  • Ability to assess and discuss technical feasibility of solutions with development teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate activities across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with LeanIX.
  • Experience maintaining JSON-based configuration or definition files.
  • Knowledge of IT service management processes.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Professional certification in Business Analysis, Requirements Engineering, Agile, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of German.
