About the role

As a Solution Architect, you will be the key owner of the SRE, observability and monitoring strategy. You will work closely with engineers and internal customer teams to automate operations, improve reliability, and get maximum value from modern observability tools, including AI and AI agents. This role focuses on architectural decisions, designing integrations, and ensuring best practices.

How you will get the job done

• Define the strategic vision for site reliability engineering, observability, and platform engineering, and plan tactical implementation steps.
• Support, advise, and coach engineers in the teams.
• Scout and analyse new observability features and match them to business needs.
• Define standards and best practices for automated service operations and the observability framework, including alerting, SLOs, and distributed tracing across digital products.
• Advise internal customers about the value of Site Reliability Engineering, Observability, and Monitoring.
• Consult internal customer teams on automating service operations and effectively leveraging observability tools.
• Leverage AI and AI agents to modernise services.

Skills and experience you will need

• Fluency in English.
• Multi-year experience as a Solution Architect in cloud-based environments.
• Good understanding of site reliability engineering, platform engineering, and observability architectures.
• Strong strategic thinking and vision-setting.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and coaching abilities.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineers, ensuring effective implementations.

Nice to have

• German language proficiency.
• Expertise in observability tools, including architecture, governance, integrations, APM, and security best practices, and in automating service operations.
• Knowledge of distributed tracing, metrics, and telemetry collection.
• Experience negotiating with vendors and external service providers.
