About the role

The Global Reserving Platform team delivers business value through stable, high-quality IT operations and continuous improvement of financial data processing across Reinsurance divisions. The team is looking for a technically skilled system administrator with strong IT operations experience, a focus on monitoring and data quality, and an interest in financial data workflows.

You will join a product team distributed across Munich, Warsaw, and Gdańsk and contribute to the operational excellence of a global finance platform.

How you will get the job done

  • Administer Windows Server environments, including IIS, services, and scheduled tasks, to ensure stable and reliable platform operations.
  • Support and maintain TM1 / Planning Analytics environments with a solid understanding of TM1 Server architecture and Cognos integrations.
  • Analyze data failures in test cases, review data quality gates, and manage the review process by handing it over to 3rd-level support.
  • Manage MS SQL Server instances, including configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Support API-based integrations built on .NET Framework and .NET Core, ensuring smooth connectivity and operational stability.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot R/Python environments, including R scripts and R-based APIs, used in financial data processing.
  • Monitor system health, automate operational tasks where possible, and proactively resolve issues to maintain high service availability.
  • Provide services during standard business hours, with rare availability on Saturdays during closing periods.

Skills and experience you will need

  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar qualification.
  • 4+ years of experience in comparable roles.
  • Strong experience in Windows Server administration, including IIS, certificate management, PowerShell, and MS SQL Server administration.
  • Basic Linux (RHEL) experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of TM1 / Cognos Planning Analytics architecture, including TM1 Server components, Cognos integration, database structures, data transfers, and ETL processes.
  • Ability to support API-based integrations (.NET Framework / .NET Core) and R environments, including R scripts and R APIs.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, ITSM/CMDB tools such as ServiceNow, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation and virtualized infrastructure operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for global, hybrid team environments, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, stay productive under pressure, and learn new technologies quickly.
